My Friday Nite Out

Went out with Kim, Calvin and Ling for dinner last Friday. We went to Italianni's in 1 Utama. Kim has previously read one of the reviews somewhere in the magazine that say the serving there is huge and is meant for sharing. So we decided to only order 2 main meals to share. We were busy trying to talk to catch up with each other and at the same time trying to decide which one to order and constantly having this cute waiter standing there trying his very best to recommend their star dishes! It didn't help that Ling and Cal do not eat beef but at least we have smaller selection. Finally we agreed on a chicken pizza and seafood pasta. They served us some bread with vineger aged 15 before our main meals arrive.

The foods were pretty good actually. The pasta was tasty and so was the pizza. The review is right, the portions are huge enough to be shared. Obviously we can't skip dessert, and again another round of battle, we finally decided on cream brulee and tiramisu. The same cute waiter told us we should just order tiramisu because again it is a huge serving. I can see the dissapointment faces in everyone because we really wanted cream brulee as well. Anyway, we listened to him. Thank goodness we listened, boy was the serving hugeee!!! Well it was quite muaky, we couldn't even finished that one piece. *make a mental note to self, next time don't order that*

One thing I noticed is that the restaurant has lots of waiters and waitresses. They are very attentive, overly attentive. Whenever your water goes down by one sip, they will take turn coming around asking you whether you want more or not. You haven't even got a chance to wipe your mouth after eating, they already standing beside to ask you how your food was. Quite annoying. It doesn't allow enough privacy at your dinner table.

On top of that, Cal was being annoying by kept on asking us whether he should buy a Moto or Samsung. We took turn to entertain him la. Sometimes I said to buy Moto, then I changed my line to ask him to buy Samsung. Hehhee... and got him all confused. *in the end, he bought Moto. He told me this morning*

After dinner, we went shopping! I told Ling about the sale at Women Secret's and of course she was excited. You can see the sparkles in our eyes when we entered the shop. The discounts were really good, up to 70%. Cal was being a KPC following us around, giving opinion on which bras we should get. Kim knows better and sat outside waiting while playing on the PDA. Ling went crazy and bought 3 pairs of bras. She bought this really girlie pink color one with a bow in the middle! So cute! I picked a red one, my first. Cal was nudging me and said red is good, and I believed him. ;) It does looks quite good on me. *grin*

There were 2 very happy and contented individuals that nite. :)

We finished off the evening by having a cup of cha at Starbucks. Cal was still annoying us with his to Moto or not. I know deep down he will go for Moto since it gives him more status. True enough. Since Saturday was a working day for Cal and he lives at the other side of the town, we decided to go home after coffee. After all the hugs and kisses, we went different ways.

It was a good night out. I thorougly enjoyed it!
